My name is Yanit Asulin
I am a singer, show producer, and artistic content manager – and this is what I have lived, breathed, and done for over 20 years.
My love for music and the stage goes hand in hand with a passion for precise production – and it is precisely this combination of being up front and planning in detail behind the scenes that is my secret to truly successful events.
On stage, I am a folklore singer who sings in over ten languages, Greek, Ladino, Arabic, Moroccan, French, Italian, and even Yiddish, world folk music that comes from the heart of different cultures, and connects to Israel's unique mosaic of sounds.
I am proud to be called "Israel's Folklore Singer," because for me, folklore is a simple, authentic joy that touches deeply, and creates a connection between people, even if they have only just met in the audience.
And yes, I am also addicted to folk knowledge and the history of Israel – I am a cultural researcher with three academic degrees, which gives me a deeper understanding of the stories and soul behind the sounds, and connects your audience to the culture behind the music. And don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t stop me from dancing with you on tables at a Greek taverna show night :)

Over the years, I have performed on stages around the world and collaborated with leading event production companies in Israel and abroad. This international experience helps me bring high standards to every production – both in planning, execution, and the "wow" feeling that everyone feels at the end.

With me, you will find everything you need to create your unique event. I bring to the stage a wide variety of Performances for Corporate events, private events and Community events, each of which is a world in itself.
I sing accompanied by an electrifying Greek bouzouki band, or a nostalgic Ladino and Spanish party band, or an Israeli party band, or a Jewish music band with traditional klezmer music. And even a New York 30s Broadway swing band. All these and much more exciting musical concepts await you here!
This is where folk music – the kind that feels at home in every corner of the world – meets the unique soundtrack of our lives here in Israel, and touches everyone. Because eventually, we all just want to feel part of something big, connecting, and exciting, and that something is going to be your event.
I deeply understand both the logistical and technical side of any event, as well as the artistic soul that needs to shine from it. This means I know how to listen to what you are looking for, translate it into a precise experience, and build a show that is unique to you – from the vibe, the energy, the atmosphere, down to the smallest details. I plan, and assemble the artistic, human, and technical puzzle – so that everything connects exactly to what you imagined. Folklore Addicted - EP Album
So what exactly is "Folklore Addicted - EP"? For me, it's not just another mini-album – it's a soul project that I worked on for two whole years, especially during the Corona period, when the world felt so distant and closed. I felt I had to create something that would bring a completely opposite energy: connection, closeness, and a return to what's truly important in life through my love of folklore and the stories that sounds tell.
The EP was released in 2023, and it contains six songs in five languages (Greek, Egyptian Arabic, Spanish, Italian, and Hebrew). Each song is a milestone in my musical and personal journey, and each is accompanied by a video clip filmed in the country of origin at sites that were closed to the public at the time they were filmed, making the sights unique! In creating the album, I collaborated with Israeli producers who are doing great around the world, such as Kobi Israelite from London and Gene Reznick from Toronto. If you are addicted to sounds with soul, that simply do good to your heart and make you feel at home - you must hear this!
I constantly continue to explore music, and in the past year, I have dived into fascinating collaborations that combine electronic sounds with warm, oriental vibes.
Currently, in June 2025, the song "Mawal " was released - my joint project with Neevos, which brings something completely different and exciting. And just before that, in May 2025, we surprised with an energetic rock version of the hit that broke the Israeli playlist - "Always Love Me" (Tamid ohev oti).
